Using Search Filters in comma CMMS

Search filters provide a way to recall common search queries for work orders and equipment. The filters are configured and edited on the main search console page of the work orders module and the equipment module.

To setup a new filter proceed as follows (example for the work order module which is very similar to the equipment module):

  • Go to “Maintenance” -> “Work Orders”.
  • Click the search filter icon (the small blue funnel image). The filter window will expand.
  • Set the required search console parameters on the search console on the left (example set “Status” = “Open (not closed, not complete)”.
  • Enter a New Filter Name (e.g. “All Open Orders”).
  • Decide whether this filter is called by default when you open each of the pages that display work orders on the system, namely the “Dashboard”, “FL details” pages or the “search console” page. Check the ‘dashboard’ default check box.
  • Click the “Save” button when you are done.
  • Remember to click the “hide” link on the filter window as the system will remember the last window state and open the page on that state by default.
  • To verify (assuming you have setup a default dashboard filter): go to your dashboard. The list of work orders should now load to show you the filter you created above.
